Update from Susan Muhlestein (Affleck)

A little about myself, I graduated from Phoenix College with an AA in Computer Science. I went to BYU and met my husband there. I am married to Kerry D Muhlestein who is from Richland, WA. I graduated from BYU at the same time as my husband. I graduated with a BS in Accounting and my husband with a BS in Chemical Engineering with minors in Chemistry and Physics. I helped to put my husband through graduate school. In 1992, Kerry graduated from BYU with a Masters in Engineering Management. We then moved to Longview TX and lived there for 10 years. We had 3 daughters born in that part of the Texas. Victoria - 16yrs old, Nicolette - 11 yrs old and Clarissa - 9 yrs old. In 2002, we moved to Midland, TX and our 4th daughter was born - Arianna 5 yrs old. Last year, we moved to Moses Lake, WA - which is 3 hours east of Seattle or 2 hours west of Spokane. We are in the middle of the state in a farming community. We actually live in a subdivision outside city limits in the country and loving it. I have homeschooled all of my girls. My oldest has never been to public school until we moved to Moses Lake where she took a class at the high school and decided she did not like the environment. As you as tell I am NOT a grandmother and hope not to be for several more years. I have been a stay-at-home mom since Victoria was born. Before that I worked at Vista Laboratories in Phoenix until I got married. I worked at a cosmotology school in Provo, the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerice in Orem UT and then the Commission for Economic Development in Orem, UT until we moved to Texas. I love to read, do crafts, travel and spend time with family.

This is Helen Benson (Reader). So fun to hear how your life has been! Great job on all the great accomplishments you have made. I'd love to see your family, post some pictures. Rob and I got married a week before he started med school. We have 5 children and all three girls are married as of Nov. We still have our boys that haven't married yet. We are living in Mesa and love it. AND we are going to be grandparents in May!!! I am so excited.

Hi Helen,

Thanks for writing. Sorry we could not be there tonight and tomorrow. With my husband's work right now, we are having to stay home. Besides, with the passing of my father earlier this summer, we have made 3 trips this year to Phoenix. I would love to hear about your family and your siblings and parents. Congratulations on becoming a grandma. I hope to have several more years before that happens to me and am very glad for that. I don't feel ready to be grandma - I am too young!!
